Happy Anniversary-20 week Ultrasound

On our actual 2 year anniversary, we spent time together by going to our 20 Week ultrasound. It was a welcome relief to see Baby Fuller moving all over the place after the car accident two days prior. Baby Fuller was not always cooperating for "camera" shots, so it took a while to get these pictures! He/she loves to take his/her hands and put them in front of his/her face. It was adorable, of course. Also, the Ultrasound tech kept noticing that Baby Fuller was pouting, which the ultrasound tech at the ER also noticed. And then the big question as to which of us is the "pouter"...it might be mommy!

Baby Fuller measured 8 inches at 20 weeks, 5 days. (according to certain medical estimates, he/she is slightly large for estimated gestational age...consistent with previous ultrasounds)

A little pout!

Happy Anniversary!! Car Accident 11/7/2010

On our way to Longfellows on Sunday evening to celebrate our 2 year anniversary, we were in a car accident as we entered 87 north from exit 9.  A silver car was tailgating Brian (driver) on the entrance ramp and then as soon as he could as we entered 87, that car crossed all the way over to the middle lane.  But there was already a car in the middle lane that the silver car cut in front of.  So, it seems that the car from the middle lane swerved towards us to miss the silver car and we think the car from the middle lane hit us forcing us to do a 360 spin.

So the rear driver's side ended up wrapped around the guardrail.  Basically smashing into the guardrail is what stopped us from moving and spinning more.  The tow truck guy said it was a real struggle detaching the car from the guardrail.  Thank goodness for guardrails because it was a large hill we would have flown down if it wasn't there.

You will notice that the trunk was full of all my (Allison's) Madison Handbags stuff and everything is ok---phew!!

Driver's side--where Brian was.  Both the front and rear axles were completely wrecked.

Passenger side--where Allison was--nothing was hit (the white marks on the front bumper are from pulling out of my garage spot months ago when someone was parked behind me in the driveway and I sort of scraped along the garage wall inaccurately navigating the turn--But, I don't have to get that fixed now!)  Cannot believe that my side was spared---a guardian angel was looking out for us all.

Most adorable niece!

Caitlyn was helping Aunt Allison clean out the closet and drawers to get better organized.  She got a little distracted after she found my glasses.  And she paraded around wearing them for a bit!  Now, she was already dressed in a very cute outfit, but I had some slipper socks that I purchased for her that added just a little bit of extra spunk to the ensemble.  And, it may not seem evident by this photo, but she is wearing a tu-tu---OMG; Adorable.

And, with these glasses on, I can't help but think that we have a mini-Laura on our hands....

Baby Bump---amazing times!

Here I am a few days shy of the 20 week mark.  So, if all goes as perfectly planned, I am technically half way through the pregnancy---cannot believe it.  Time flies!

Lots of Leaves...again!

This beautiful large tree, and it's smaller sister next to it, produce a decent amount of leaves.  We waited to pick up the leaves until almost all of the leaves had fallen.  I'm not sure we were that smart last year.
Here is the view from looking out the upstair bathroom window.

And here are the 38 bags it took to clean up the front lawn.  No, we have not ventured into the backyard, but we really don't care as much about how that looks and besides, the dogs keep pooping back there and it's just gross!!

10-10-10 Brian Hemphill ran the Half Marathon

Quite the accomplishment:  Brian ran the half marathon in Albany on 10-10-10 and beat his time from his previous half marathon approximately 6 months prior.  Laura, Caitlyn and Allison went down to the finish line and were able to watch him cross it!  I plan to upload the video....assuming I can get that work on here.

Caitlyn in her skinny jeans...does it get any cuter?

Sunnyside Gardens near Saratoga Springs, NY

The Fullers and the Hemphills ventured up to Saratoga Springs area to get some pumpkins and ghourds (and of course cider donuts).  The have a great pumpkin patch that is filled with large displays of children's storybook themes.  It was a fun time.  Oh and we got pie too.....blueberry and it was delicious!

Nursery Project--Before and After

The nursery with 4 different colored walls; yes 4.  Allison has been using this room as her extra closet space, but that shall be no more!  This will become the baby's room in March 2011.  But, a few renovations are needed first.  Clearly a paint job is in order, but why not reinsulate the 2 outside walls and add new laminate wood floors while we are at it?  let the games begin!
Here you can see the new insulation and the new drywall being installed.

Drywall is all taped and plastered and getting ready to be painted.

First we prime....

...then we painted!  And, now begins the install of the laminate wood floors.  We got the floors at a great discount from Brian's friend Taylor.

Oh and here is the new fan....the old rickety brown one just wasn't cutting it!

Another view of the room this time showing the closet area.

And this picture shows the closet on the right and the entrance door swung open.  The door you see just outside of the room is the entrance to our Master Bedroom--quick and easy access to the baby!
