Kenzie made it home! After 3 nights at St. Mary's Hospital, she arrived home around 8pm. Her weight leaving the hospital was 6lbs, 7oz.
Times were a little tough in the hospital for Mommy & Daddy as we were both sick with head colds. Mommy got medicine for an ear infection 8 hours before delivery after spending 5 days suffering with cough and congestion! Daddy caught the cold and after Kenzie's first night, he needed to go see his doctor. He was not given an antibiotic but needed lots of rest, so he stayed at home for Kenzie's second night and Grandma Janet spent the night at the hospital instead. Daddy came back the next day, but still felt horrible and spent most of the day resting and trying to feel better. By the next morning, despite a fairly sleepless night with lots of feedings for Kenzie, he was feeling more alive! Lots of tissues, cough drops water, and hot tea for Mommy and Daddy....but we are on the road to recovery.
